Mosaic set, stained glass doors created by students of the Ƶ university
04 August

Graduates of the Department of Monumental Art of Ƶ under the guidance of teacher Irina Baranova created a mosaic set, stained glass doors and a decorative element in the hallway for a private house.

The mosaic set based on the engraving of the Dutch painter Jan Muller «The Martyrdom of St. Sebastian» is made of glassy smalt in the technology of direct unpolished set on temporary soil, which allowed to create a smooth mosaic surface, safe in close contact with a person.

The muralists decorated the doors with stained glass inserts in the classic Tiffany technique. To give strength to the stained glass, a frame made of brass profile was used.

As a decorative element for the hallway, a tympanum with illumination was created, which took place above the doorway, providing additional lighting and becoming the compositional dominant of the entrance group.
