Russian Creative Week in Moscow brought St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (Ƶ) an important partnership in the development of fijital games and generative technologies. Thanks to the past events St. Petersburg consolidates its position in the right to be called the design capital of our country.

An important agreement on the development of content for the “Games of the Future” 2024 in Kazan, as well as the curatorship of the university of the nominations of the Young Design 2023 competition, dedicated to the development of fijital sports in Russia, was signed during the business program of the Russian Creative Week in Moscow. The partnership agreement was signed between Ƶ, the Agency for Computer Sports Developments and the St. Petersburg Foundation for Support of Innovations and Youth Initiatives.

Recall, fijital is a direction that combines the digital and physical universes. In March 2024 Kazan will host the first ever high-tech tournament "Games of the Future" - an event at the intersection of sport, science and technology, combining classical and digital sports. International competitions will be held in 16 hybrid disciplines. Each of them embodies the concept of "fijital" (physical+digital), i.e. combines physical culture and cybersport or VR-/AR-technology, and thus tests the skills of athletes in two hitherto unrelated dimensions.

"Partnering with Future Games on the Young Design competition recognizes our university's leadership in the field of fijtal. "Future Games is becoming one of the first customers for our digital products, which we are broadcasting today at the level of regional brands. This is precisely the platform where the real and digital worlds connect, this is precisely what we are successfully doing. At the contest of our longtime partner - the Foundation for Innovation Support - Young Design, Ƶ specialists supervise three nominations. The contestants will have to create a key design image for one of the 16 innovative disciplines included in the program of the tournament "Future Games", as well as a design image of the city of the future. We are also the developer of a part of various digital content for the promotion and design of the Future Games tournament and the Fijital Education project. Both students and partners of the university's strategic project "SmartDesign" will be included in the development. In this context "Games of the Future" will be our reliable partner, with whom we will build a bridge between the real and virtual worlds together", - comments Maxim Yermachkov, Director of the Project Office of the Scientific and Technological Initiative of Ƶ.
One of the interactive events of the Russian Creative Week was an online exhibition of generative art by students of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design and residents of the Generative Design Laboratory of Ƶ. A virtual entrance to the meta-universe to visit the exhibition was available to guests via a link or QR code. Further, the user got into the digital space where works of digital design were presented. Guests were able to see the concepts of the aforementioned Games of the Future tournament: visualizations of 16 innovative disciplines and fantasies on the theme of the city of the future, reflecting the concept of fijital cities located between physical and digital reality.

"The guests of the exhibition were able to appreciate not only the aesthetic component of the works, but also the functionality of the presented concepts. Today at the University of Industrial Technologies and Design under my supervision, together with neuro-artist Riz Yesentaev, students are exploring new opportunities that will be available to the participants of the Games of the Future and how they will interact with the game world," - comments Polina Egarmin, head of the strategic project of Ƶ "SmartDesign".
