Presentations of the best graduation projects of bachelors and masters of the Institute of Design of Spatial Environment Ƶ 2023 were held in the university "Boiling Point - PromTechDesign". A help center for migrants, a mountain recreational complex on the shores of Lake Baikal, a winery complex in Anapa, a Gatsby-style restaurant, an apartment for families of twin brothers - these and other solutions were presented by the graduates. The event was attended by industry representatives, graduates of previous years, university applicants, students and teachers.
Roman Kasyan created the concept of a school on the territory of the future satellite city of St. Petersburg - Yuzhny. The project involves some pupils living on the territory of the school and includes several functional zones in which the classrooms become small houses with their own entrance area, a place for classes and recreation.
Polina Smirnova presented the architectural concept of the multifunctional residential complex in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg. The project includes underground parking, three residential buildings, a cultural center, a developed courtyard area and a kindergarten.
Veronika Panamareva developed the project for a mid-rise residential complex integrated into the historic buildings of St. Petersburg. The U-turn parts of the facade offer a view of the Trinity Cathedral from the apartments and are also used as an accent element of the facade. The complex has a maintained roof, where there are recreation areas for adults and children.
Ekaterina Chestnikova presented a design project for the union of two apartments, followed by redevelopment of the "Heart of the Capital" residential complex in Moscow. The student created an interior in a modern style with classic elements and individual solutions for each tenant.
Alvard Petrosyan created the concept for the seafood restaurant, which is located in the historic part of St. Petersburg. From the street side, the site is adjacent to the house-museum of F.M. Dostoevsky and the university. The student designed a building with three above-ground levels and two underground levels, with a landscaped terrace and galleries with fountains.
Anna Shakhova designed a dormitory and assistance center for migrants near the Baltiyskaya metro station in St. Petersburg. It is aimed at solving the social issue of migrants' resettlement.
Valeria Meledina presented a wine-making complex in the terroir of Anapa on a plot of land with existing grape vegetation. The project involves both the production of wine products and visits to the complex by tourists. The student has considered the requirements for the organization of industrial and public spaces, as well as studied the technology of wine production in order to place the premises correctly.
The design for the redevelopment of an attic apartment in an old building in St. Petersburg was presented by Julia Zhuravleva. The design combines a modern interior style with the historical context of the building. The apartment includes a spacious family area with a fireplace and access to a view terrace, as well as two bedrooms with private offices and walk-in closets. Natural materials and light colors were chosen in favor of decoration.
The concept of the co-working space on Zagorodniy Prospekt in St. Petersburg was developed by Valeria Buimister. The room is designed for professionals who work in construction, design and architecture. The co-working space offers both enclosed offices and individual workstations. The general style is a modern minimalistic style with accent points.
Anna Ilyina designed the project for the residents of Lahdenpohja in the Republic of Karelia. It provides points of attraction for the city guests and aims to create a link between the tourism sphere and the social life of Lahdenpohja. It is proposed to erect a culture house, a swimming pool and a museum on the territory.
Daria Deryagina presented the project of a private residential house in the cottage community Roschino Park in the Leningrad region. The house is designed in the Barnhouse style with a winter garden.
Alisa Elizarova created the architectural and urban planning concept for the mountain recreational complex Mamai in the Republic of Buryatia on the shore of Lake Baikal. The concept includes detailed buildings of a transport hub, a hotel with a restaurant, a kayaking club, lower and upper stations of a cable car. In addition, the student proposes a solution for the organization of the port, market and landscaping of the coastal area.
Antonina Saprykina came up with the project of recreation base on the shore of Lake Ladoga. The base is a large hotel complex consisting of four blocks, each block has its own functional purpose. The complex is surrounded by coniferous forest, and there is a lake nearby.
Alice Mordovskaya presented the center of additional education for adult audiences with the improvement of the adjacent territory. A hotel was designed at the center, co-working and lounge areas, a cafeteria, classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, an administrative block, and an underground parking lot.
The design of the two-level Gatsby restaurant and Daisy patisserie, inspired by Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby, was presented by Ekaterina Sgibneva. The design is in the style of American interiors of the early 20th century - art deco.
Milana Yugova came up with the concept of redesigning an apartment for two families of twin brothers. The combined space of the four apartments is located on the three levels of the James Beck Manufaktura residential complex on Petrogradskaya Embankment. The project is designed to create private spaces and a cozy family area with an open terrace for gastronomic evenings and culinary master classes.
Galina Shalamova presented a project for redesigning a two-level apartment for a family with two children. The interior design is strictly minimalist with accents made in warm colors.
Location of presentations is symbolic for graduates, because the design of "Boiling Point - PromTechDesign" in 2020 worked on the students of the Institute of Design of Spatial Environment SPbGUPTD under the guidance of teachers from the Department of Space Design, and the university space itself was implemented by the project students Pauline Smirnova and Olga Belotskaya under the supervision of Associate Professor Andrew Zuev.
