01 June

A three-day design and analytical session was held at the Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design as part of the university's participation in the Priority 2030 program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. The experts of the FSASI «Sociocenter», the operator of the Priority 2030 program, gave their recommendations to the development team in setting up processes launched for the implementation of strategic projects, helped to conduct a joint analysis of the implementation of development programs and in finding effective solutions to achieve better results.

«Our development program is aimed at maximum convergence with industries. Our ambition is to develop together with companies, having a significant impact on their development. This is not an easy task that requires the university to copy or, if I may say so, transfer many of our partners' business processes inside the university. This is what our strategic projects are aimed at, it is this task that defines and sets the requirements for our transformation. Thanks to the implementation of our program, we have already increased the number of contacts with enterprises by an order of magnitude, significantly increased the portfolio of scientific and technological tasks, which in turn determines the need to increase the efficiency and productive capacity of the university, increase the human capital of the university and new models for managing these changes,» said Alexey Demidov, Rector of Ƶ.

Special attention was paid to the issue of communication and the impact of strategic projects on internal changes in industries, as well as the necessary changes in the university's management system for the effective implementation of the declared program.

«A very useful view from the outside, or rather, a new look at the issues we are discussing. The opinion of experts is important to us as carriers of the ambitions of the entire Priority 2030 program and as specialists with professional experience. The session helped the university development team to get out of everyday processes and look at themselves in a different state,» comments Maxim Ermachkov, Executive Director of the Priority 2030 Project Office at Ƶ.
