MTS Live Hall hosted a gala concert of the festival «Student Spring in St. Petersburg», where the winners and prize-winners of the city stage of the All-Russian program for the development of student creativity were announced. Students of the Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design took first places in several directions at once and received two special prizes. The Needles Cheerleading Team has joined the St. Petersburg delegation and will represent the university and the city at the All-Russian stage of the festival.
This year in the «Student Spring in St. Petersburg» was attended by more than 2,200 students. The participants proved themselves in various directions: «Vocal», «Instrumental», «Dance», «Theatrical», «Original genre», «Fashion», «Media», «Video» and «Art». The brightest performances of the contestants were shown at the gala concert, the winners and prize-winners of the festival were also announced, who received diplomas and awards. The selection of winners and prize-winners was carried out by an expert council, which included famous artists, teachers and specialists in the field of culture and art.
At the gala concert, a student of Ƶ Mokhinur Komolova presented three author's collections. The first collection of «Navroz» was dedicated to the holiday of the arrival of spring. It includes gentle and romantic models. The second collection of Mohinur was named «Malika», that is, «Princess». It consists of three outfits with elements of a female royal dress, based on a corset and removable sleeves. The young woman also showed a collection of men's clothing «Emir». On the podium came men who looked like sultans in shirts with ruffles on pearl buttons and in sparkling robes made of brocade. Mohinur Komolova was awarded a special prize of the festival in the nomination «Fashion with elements of «ethno».




Another special prize went to the student of the Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design Alina Yurieva in the nomination «Evening fashion». At the gala concert, she demonstrated the collection of wedding dresses «The bridal charm». The collection includes dresses of traditional white color, but with bright red accents in the form of beads, earrings and floral headbands on the heads of bride models.


The winner in the direction of «Media» in the nomination «Photo Project: photo reportage» was Anastasia Buraya with a conceptual shooting from a student dormitory.

First place in the nomination «ART. Illustration» was taken by Daria Kulenenok with an illustration about trends, brands and the influence of the younger generation on the modern world.

In the direction of "Fashion" in the nomination "Conceptual fashion and fashion of megacities", Maria Vagacheva, a student of the Engineering School of Clothing (College) of Ƶ, won. For the festival, Maria created a collection of kraft paper, in which she expressed her concern about the increase in consumption and, as a result, the increase in the amount of garbage in the ocean.


The dance duo of the university, which was composed by students Valeria Babintseva and Alina Abdulatipova, was awarded the second place in the nomination «Modern Dance». On the stage of MTS Live Hall, the girls presented their number «Loner».
The first place in the vocal direction in the nomination «Folk singing: stylization of a folk song» was taken by the students of Ƶ, who formed the vocal collective «Thread». The girls also performed their song at the gala concert.

Another reason for pride to the university was brought by the students in the Needles Cheerleading Team. The Ƶ cheerleading and cheer sports team took the main prize in the direction of «Original genre» in the nomination «Cheer Dance show». The girls will represent the university and the city in the national final of the «Russian Student Spring», which will be held in Perm and Khanty-Mansiysk.

Reference: «Russian Student Spring» is the only program in Russia to support and develop student creativity. It has been implemented since 1992 and includes more than 80 regional, 10 All-Russian and 4 international events. Every year, about 1.5 million students participate in the program, representing more than 1,200 educational organizations from all regions of the country.
