The Grand Tour is a prestigious type of competition in road cycling. The race is a three-week competition with a certain number of intermediate finishes where prize points are awarded. The shape of the plate is a bicycle ring. Its metal spokes were transformed during the design process and combined into a solid set of facets that will reflect light as bicycle spokes reflect the sun. A bicycle tire tread runs along the edge of the plate. The material of the award is aluminum, the pattern on the rim and the commemorative inscription are laser engraved.

The design of the award plate for the FIDE Women's Grand Prix 2022-2023 by Elizaveta Bezrukova was awarded a bronze medal in the category "Most Creative Product Idea". The FIDE Grand Prix 2022-2023 is a series of chess tournaments for women that determine players for the 2023-2024 Candidates Tournament. The winner of the tournament will play the reigning world champion in the next women's chess championship. The design of the award was dictated by the shape of the chessboard, unusual for an award plate. The main idea was the difficulty of choosing a move, on which the further development of the game depends. The plate is made of stainless steel, laser engraving is used. Brushes of hands and chess are made of aluminum, the technology of rotary drawing is applied. Argon arc welding between the alloys is used.

The silver medal in the same nomination went to Elizaveta Tischenko, a student of the Institute of Graphic Design at Ƶ (adviser - assistant professor Alexander Kutlinsky). The designer created a sailing prize trophy project out of stainless steel and wire, using engraving, metal casting and milling techniques. The dynamic and flexible metal forms are reminiscent of sails, and the wires surrounding the form are like rope cables.

In the category "The most technologically advanced plate" the third place was given to Ksenia Mizurova, a student of the Institute of Graphic Design of Ƶ (director - associate professor Rafael Mukhametov). Xenia was engaged in the creation of the project of an award plate for winning the athletics competition made of blown glass and stainless polished steel with the use of laser cutting and shaping technology of the glass part.

"The idea behind my plate prize is to show a running track and field athlete as a silhouette. Next to the image of the runner are flowing and graceful abstract shapes - these are air currents. These three-dimensional figures also symbolize the fiery fervor with which the athlete runs. Speaking of the material, the main form of the prize with carved silhouette is made of stainless polished steel, the abstract elements are made of glass, translucent material, reminiscent of "air currents," - said Ksenia Mizurova.
The awarding ceremony was held in Moscow. The University of Industrial Technologies and Design was represented in the jury by Svetlana Ilyina, the acting head of the department of interior design of Ƶ, associate professor.
