For the second time RAEX Agency publishes subject rankings of Russian universities. The lists of the best universities include 164 universities from 42 regions of the country. St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design has the second position in the country in 鈥淭echnology of light industry鈥�. The University was also included in the top 15 in 鈥淐hemical technologies鈥� training.

The subject ratings are based on an assessment of the three missions of the university 鈥� educational, scientific, social and answer the question: which universities provide the best educational and scientific training of students in a particular subject area, taking into account the contribution of the university in social development. Statistical data of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, bibliometric data providers Clarivate Analytics and Scopus, organizers of student competitions 鈥淚 am a Professional鈥�, media and social media monitoring and analysis system SCAN-Interfax, online course aggregators, Informer Technologies data on website traffic, as well as data from social networks YouTube, Telegram, VKontakte were analyzed when compiling the subject rankings.
