The team of the Office for the Development of Student Initiatives of Ƶ won 500,000 rubles in a contest for the design of university space by the Tavrida Art Cluster.
The design project of the Office team became one of the five best designs in Russia, and the only project from St. Petersburg which was accepted for realization in the framework of Tavrida Art Cluster.
The project aims to transform the university library at Voznesensky prospect, 44–46 into a multifunctional creative space with easily transformable areas, where educational asnd outreach events, lectures, collaborative activities and more will take place.
«Young place are the lifeblood of society, a clot of energy, unspent intellectual and physical forces that need an outlet. That is why we are looking for new forms for traditional and familiar places, filling them with content that corresponds to the spirit of the time. So the idea was born to modernize the library, which will be a symbiosis of a reading room and presentation and lecture hall, where kids can create and develop», — said the head of the department Denis Asinovsky.
