On March 17, 2023 at the 芦Boiling Point 鈥� PromTechDesign禄 was held the exhibition opening of creative works of students of the Institute of Graphic Design of SUITD dedicated to ecology on theme: The prevention of violations in the sphere of household and municipal waste turnover.

At the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition participants and winners of the custom-made project developed under the cooperation agreement between the St. Petersburg Prosecutor鈥檚 Office and St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.

The project, having both legal and educational aspects, involved the students of Bachelor, Master and Specialists Programs of the Advertising Design Department of the Institute of Graphic Design. The work of the students was supervised by the teachers of the Advertising Design Department Andreychuk A., Borisova T., Ilyina A.

The winners of the project:

•  Alexandra Lvova with the poster 芦Cleanliness of the city on our hands禄;




•  Valeria Shershneva with the poster 芦In a clean sky even seagulls soar!禄 and 芦In a clean yard even cats purr!禄.

Elena Bukharina, Senior Assistant Prosecutor of St. Petersburg, Senior Adviser of Justice, acted as the curator of the project on behalf of the St. Petersburg Prosecutor鈥檚 Office.

鈥� You put images into our words, rhino with these images, express your creativity, making it clear and accessible, 鈥� Elena Bukharina highly appreciated the work of design students and their teachers-curators.

Alina Sukhareva, Director of the Institute of Graphic Design, Head of the Department of Graphic Design, candidate of technical sciences, said: Such cooperation gives students an opportunity to gain invaluable experience of interaction with a real client, to go through the process from conception to implementation, relying on professional guidance and support of teachers and to see their works in the streets.

Future graduates are already thinking about the need to work with real cases, which will contribute to their professional portfolio and increase its competitiveness.

鈥� Students are interested in real orders that will be implemented, to receive feedback from the customer. The commendations that all participants of the environmental project received, they will be able to add to their portfolio, 鈥� said Andelina Ilyina, the leader of students who participated in the project, senior lecturer of the Advertising Design Department of SUITD.

The students have shown their interest and desire to develop social themes.
鈥� Any exhibition is a unique opportunity to prove yourself, to show your skills. It is important for us to work on socially significant topics that concern society. It鈥檚 great that students have a chance to participate in the project and create posters for St. Petersburg Prosecutor鈥檚 Office, because a lot of people will see our work, 鈥� says Elizaveta Shmagina, a student of the Institute of Graphic Design.

The 42 selected posters will be published on the web-site of the Prosecutor-General鈥檚 Office, placed on the advertising constructions in St. Petersburg, in subway on the resources of Administration of St. Petersburg districts, in social networks.

The environmental project was the second stage of cooperation between the University and the St. Petersburg Prosecutor鈥檚 Office. In the fall of 2021 the students of the Institute of Graphic Design already designed social posters devoted to the topic of anti-corruption. According to the results of the contest 5 best posters were replicated and presented in the subway cars. In the future, a joint project dedicated to the protection of minors鈥� rights will be implemented.

The exhibition of posters is located in the 芦Boiling Point 鈥� PromTechDesign禄 on Sadovaya st. 54 and will run until March 31, 2023. Entrance is free.
