Students of Ƶ have developed limited collections for FC Zenit

First results of the works of students within the framework of cooperation between the University of Industrial Technologies and Design and FC Zenit presented at the exhibition “Zenit: ICD, IGD”. Young designers of the university presented the ideas of capsule collections, various graphic patterns, design of branded packaging, branded tags and labels for Saint-Petersburg football club. The exhibition can be visited until April, 10 in the main building of Ƶ at 18, Bolshaya Morskaya st. The results of the competitive selection for the introduction of collections into production will be announced by representatives of FC Zenit at the “Boiling Point – IndTechDesign” in April 2022.

Before the work started students received a task from the customer: working out the design of clothes and accessories for fans and guests of the city which can be purchased at the branded stores of FC Zenit. The symbols developed by the authors should emphasize exclusivity and indicate that the collection is limited.

During the research of the brand concept designers were invited to Gazprom Arena stadium, where Zenit footballs players train. This excursion influenced the idea of the collection of Alina Bulgakova, 4th year student of Institute of Costume Design. Her attention was attracted by the colorful chairs in the stands, made in the usual color scheme for Zenit.



Elizaveta Shmagina, 2nd year student of Institute of Graphic Design developed a design of capsule collection and souvenir products dedicating it to the Russian art. Since Zenit is playing on the world football arena, Elizabeth tried to make the merch of the football club more "Russian-speaking" by introducing a fresh traditional Russian pattern developed by the girl on the basis of a triangle, in accordance with the shape of the Zenit logo. The idea of the project is to remain faithful to traditions.


In working with FC Zenit, 4th year student of IDK Anastasia Brindzak is one of the designers who designed and developed their own New Year capsule collection for the club. Her project is called "Family Zenith" and is a capsule aimed at each family member, since not only adults, but also children become fans of St. Petersburg Zenit today. The idea arose thanks to Anastasia's little cousin, who has been playing football since childhood and dreams of becoming a real star, like Andrei Arshavin, a graduate of Ƶ.


Anastsia Gimpu, 2nd year student of Institute of Graphic Design in her work for FC Zenit seeks to convey a spirit of football club of Northern capital. The girl chose dynamic composition that embodied rapid movement, physical activity and purposefulness. The products are made in polygonal graphics. Anastasia has created a universal design that is suitable for both men and women from 18 to 27 years old.


Reference: Zenit Football Club and Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design have announced long-term cooperation in various areas of design: from graphic and fashion to digital design. The corresponding agreement was signed by the General Director of FC Zenit Alexander Medvedev and the rector of Ƶ Alexey Demidov in October 2021. During the meeting in honor of signing the document, the leaders outlined projects within the framework of the environmental agenda and the topic of “smart” clothing and materials. Zenit’s entry into the consortium “Digital Industrial Design, Composite Materials, “Smart” Clothing and Fabrics”, created by Ƶ for implementation of the industry development program, became an aid for planning further steps for joint work. The football club acts as one of the customers of scientific solutions in the field of design and “smart” clothing.
