The International Mother Language Day is celebrated on February 21
26 January
Languages are the most powerful tool for preserving and developing our material and spiritual heritage. Every year, as part of the celebration of Mother Language Day, various events are held in different countries dedicated to a specific topic and aimed at promoting respect, as well as promoting and protecting all languages (especially languages on the verge of extinction), linguistic diversity and multilingualism.
We invite all foreign students and students from Russia who live in an area where there is another language to participate.
To take part, students need:
- Choose a poem or song in your native language
- Make a video or come to our main building on Bolshaya Morskaya 18, where we will record on video how you read or sing the selected work
- Fill out an application for participation
- Send the video as an MP4/MOV file along with the application.
Deadline is 14.02.2022.
Video requirements:
- Duration: 1 - 1.5 min
- Orientation: Horizontal
- Good light, background, sound.
