Dear colleagues, teachers, students and staff!

The expiring year 2021 was very delicate, full of serious tasks, and brought serious results to our university, the significance of which will play an important role in the coming years. According to the results of the competition, we won the Priority state program for supporting universities until 2030, being among 106 leading Russian universities, while even of these 106 leaders were among the 54 universities recommended by the commission of the Government of Russia for consideration for a special part of the grant until 2030. By October 2021, there are 18.6 thousand students at our university, we are now together with the Polytechnic University and Saint-Petersburg State University in the top three largest universities of the city. At the end of 2021, our College of Technology, Modeling and Management won among 70 colleges in the country in the program of support of secondary vocational education 鈥淧rofessionalitet鈥� as a pilot project, while we are the only participants from Saint-Petersburg in this state program. It is also important that despite the COVID restrictions, the educational process this year was conducted at our university in a mixed format, and we did not go to the full online format, like some universities in the city and country. Much else marked this year - this is the 90th anniversary of the Higher School of Technology and Energy, and a serious graduation, as well as a successful admission to our university.

Of course, this year has brought serious victories for our sports teams. I am especially glad that our women's basketball team took the first place in Russia for the first time, and I am also glad that the second part of the 鈥淏oiling Point鈥� in the building on Voznesensky pr. will start at the end of this year. The fact that the university's budget has exceeded 3 billion rubles for the second year, and about 5.3 thousand students are enrolled in the first year 鈥� this is all important and serious. This year, for the very first time in the history of the university, we became participants in four consortiums, in one of which we are the parent organization 鈥� a consortium for digital industrial design, composite materials and smart clothing. It includes such participants as Saint-Petersburg State University, LETI, RSU named after A.N. Kosygin (Moscow), BTK Group and FC Zenit, Institute of Technology, as well as Research Institute of Silicate Chemistry and Research Institute of High Molecular Weight Compounds.

Colleagues, a lot has been done in the passing year, and in the 2022 we will have to gain a foothold on the achieved milestones and strive for new high goals, including the development of our new building on Millionnaya st., and the opening of a new city Design Museum in the building on Voznesensky pr., and the opening of new educational programs.
