I learned Russian at home, in China. But upon arrival in Saint-Petersburg I understood that my accent is disturbes me. On the first year occasionally I was afraid to ask a question because I thought that teachers won鈥檛 understand me. At the very beginning they noticed my fear and began to give a tasks and list of what I need on classes in writing and helped to figure out in lectures.

Almost immediately I鈥檝e made friends with guys from my course and the level of my Russian increased quickly. By the results I graduated The University of industrial technologies and design with a red diploma, entered the master鈥檚, become the member of Saint-Petersburg Union of designers. I became a creator of four clothing collections, specialist and curator of The Preparatory Department for foreigners in respective university.

When I came to Saint-Petersburg the only one thing that I could speak is the weather. By the way, winter took me by surprise and I was always cold. Clothes that I took were unsuitable for such severe weather. I always asked questions to everybody: teachers, fellow students, passers. And it played into my hands, everyone answered with pleasure, helped, supported me and always wondered how it goes. I started to consume knowledges quickly and I made a lot of friends. By the result all that happened to me in university has acquired great value. I stayed in Saint-Petersburg and opened a small business thanks to studies and skills acquired at the university. Now my company goes for export.

Firstly I would like to mention to the Department of registration and visa which always helped me, got into the situation throughout my training from the very beginning, and, most importantly, for their excellent attitude to students. Also the educational program is so interesting (my direction of training is Costume design), I enjoy studying subjects of this educational program. I would like to thank the entire teaching staff. At the moment I am studying in postgraduate studies at the same Department, I love my university, it is located in the most beautiful place in the city near the Hermitage. There is a wonderful and respectful dean in our institute, he treats us very well. Our Department is very active, it has knitting machines and highly educated teaching staff. The most attractive in our university is its harmonic atmosphere. Teaching staff is so kind and they treat like our friends. Employees of a dean鈥檚 office and the Department of registration and visa always help us very patiently. University often organizes and takes part in contests, exhibitions, scientific meetings and it has sport teams in many sports, provides students with an enriching, active and harmonic academic life. In a word, the atmosphere of our university gives us warmth!

Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design is one of the biggest universities in our city and there is nobody who wasn鈥檛 heard about it. I am very pleased that in addition to various areas of training specialists, the university has various sports sections, creative associations in which people will be able to reveal and show their potential. I would like to mention the Department of management, where we conduct all our training. I am very pleased with the teaching staff. All teachers are very competent in their subjects. In particular, I would like to mention Professor Titova M. N. and associate professor, Candidate of Economics Shulgina L. A. These teachers are not only professionals in their scientific and managerial activities, but also in the issue of helping students. Their lectures are very interesting, they help us to think deeper, demonstrate our skills and abilities, reveal our potential, and it encourages us to come to their classes more often.
