Graduates of聽this programme work in聽monumental painting for the interiors and exteriors of聽religious buildings, particularly Orthodox churches. Their professional activities also include the restoration of聽wall paintings in聽religious, historical, and cultural heritage sites, as聽well as聽teaching and cultural and educational work.

Students gain fundamental practical skills in聽painting and drawing, along with experience in聽developing design projects for Orthodox churches using a聽range of聽monumental and decorative art techniques. These include oil and tempera painting, mosaic, sgraffito, stained glass, artistic textiles, enamel, and other techniques. The programme also provides theoretical knowledge in聽art history, iconography, the history of聽Orthodox monumental art, and theological disciplines.
