The editor is one of the key employees of the publishing house and any media. The activity of a modern editor is characterized by multipolarity: this includes the approval of the concept of the publication, the conclusion of contracts with the authors, the discussion of edits in the finished text, as well as licensing and legal support of media products. The editor determines the features of the artistic design and printing performance of the publication, the plan of marketing events, the distribution channels of book products.
Education in the profile "Book publishing" gives you an opportunity to get a popular creative specialty and find the field of activity that most interests the graduate: from editing and bookselling to the development of your own publishing projects.
Any modern organization includes a publishing department in its structure, so our graduates are in demand not only in traditional publishing houses and bookstores, but also in the media system, electronic media, advertising and PR agencies.
In government agencies, editors are responsible for implementing communication policy, preparing industry periodicals, and copywriting.
