The engineer of this profile has skills in development and improvement of innovative technologies of coloristic registration and finishing of fibrous materials; operation and management of technological processes of chemical processing of fibrous materials (fibers, threads, yarn, fabrics for clothes, household items, medicine and equipment, army and construction); develops high-tech methods and techniques of functional finishing of materials to ensure antibacterial, antistatic, UV-protective, fire-resistant, heat-resistant properties, biodegradability, water resistance, etc.; applies in professional activities nano- and biotechnology to create materials that improve the comfort of human life, have protective properties against the influence of harmful influences, including non-traditional color effects.

The development of the educational program gives the graduate a wide chemical and engineering outlook and makes him in demand at enterprises of the textile, leather, fur, printing and chemical industries, in restoration and theater workshops, scientific departments of museums and exhibitions, research institutes and institutes of the Academy of Sciences.
