A media cluster for students has been opened at Ƶ

The University of Industrial Technologies and Design has opened a media cluster for students — an equipped studio for creating audiovisual content and conducting educational events.

The 150 m2 space includes two transformable halls that can be used for photo and video shoots, podcast recordings and lectures.

The media cluster will operate in an open platform format: university students will be able to use the space for educational, scientific and creative initiatives.

"The creation of a media cluster is an important step for the development of the university as a center of creative industries. Here, students will be able not only to implement creative projects, but also to master new skills that are in demand in the digital economy," said Alexey Demidov, Rector of St. Petersburg State Pedagogical University.

The media cluster is equipped with modern professional equipment that allows for a full cycle of audiovisual production.:

Photo and video shooting:

— Sony FX30 Body video camera.

— Sony A6400 video camera.

— A Canon 650D camera.

— Tamron 17—70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens.

— Sony 18—135mm lens.

— A cyclorama and a set of Raylab wall-mounted paper photophones.

— Additional removable backgrounds for podcasts and photo shoots.

Lighting equipment:

— Mask holders for the LED illuminator S30 GOBO SA-10.

— Gobo Falcon Eyes Gobo 46 mask Set.

— SmallRig 4633 LA-090 softboxes (90 cm).

— Nanlite Pavotube 30C LED RGBW light.

Podcast zone:

— Rode PodMic studio microphones.

— Podcast mixer Rode Caster Pro.

Lecture hall and educational events:

— 50 seats for listeners.

— Interactive whiteboard for lectures, workshops and presentations.

— Two transformable halls that can be used for photo and video filming, podcast recording and lectures.
