Konstantin Davletov, a student of at St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, joined the team of multimedia artists who created a 3D projection installation in the form of a light show at the Wonder of the World Festival held in the Peter and Paul Fortress.
The facades of Naryshkin Bastion turned into a large screen, where paintings by artists, legends of St. Petersburg and digital images came to life, reflecting the path of development of visual art from rock art to artificial intelligence.
The Wonder of the World Festival has been held since 2016. This time, the main theme was Russian culture, as well as myths and legends of the Northern Capital. Three-dimensional copies of paintings by famous painters and quotations from classical literature were brought to life on the architectural objects of the fortress to the music. A total of 16 compositions were presented, which decorated more than 1,200 meters of the fortress walls.
During their development, multimedia artists used innovative lighting and laser equipment, assembled elements that would become a single canvas on architectural structures. The team of creators was inspired by the shape of Naryshkin Bastion itself, as well as the Hermitage collection.
