On October 18, a Single open day of the federal project "Professionalitet" was held in the Ƶ light industry cluster. About 350 schoolchildren and their parents took part in interactive career guidance events on this day, which were organized in the cluster's laboratories and workshops equipped with advanced equipment. The applicants not only got acquainted with the technologies used in the shoe and leather goods industry, but also worked with leather, creating their own products.
Professional tests for applicants of the "Professionalitet" took place in the design laboratory and the cutting shop, where the students felt like designers, designers and technologists of light industry. The students learned how to take measurements from a person using 3D scanning technology, studied the work of the domestic Texel growth scanner, which was also used to create digital avatars of the participants of the professional test. In addition, 3D-printed shoes, pads, bags and accessories for them were presented in the design laboratory.
Traditionally, the most memorable professional test was working on your own leather product. The students, under the guidance of a mentor, a teacher of "Professionalitet", created their shoes in miniature from several leather parts, mastering the tightening method, glue tools and working with a manual press. The representatives of “Professionalitet” acted as the technical control department and assessed the quality of the products obtained by the applicants.
The participant of the Single Open Day shared his impressions:
"I would like to study in a cluster. There is everything here to master the profession. I enjoyed working with leather and learning about the technologies that are used to create shoes. My classmates and I will also remember how our avatars were created on the scanner, scanning a person in full growth."
On this day, the guests of the cluster visited not only the laboratories, but also the manufacturing sector during the tour, where they got acquainted with advanced equipment for the production of shoes and leather goods, in particular, an automated cutting complex, a machine for tightening the toe-bundle part of shoes, a computerized machine for tightening the heel-diaper part, a two-position molding machine. heel joint, programmable edge release machine, union forming machine and many others. In addition, the students were able to ask their questions to representatives of shoe companies who, in a long-term partnership system, act as supporting employers in the framework of the implementation of "Professionalitet" at Ƶ. The cluster's partners include: Torzhok Shoe Factory CJSC, PTK Moderam JSC, Mercury non-standard shoe factory, Alliance leather goods Factory, Ortho-Technologies LLC and Rassvet LLC, Scientific and Production Technologies LLC, Yegoryevsk-obuv JSC.
Sergey Shcherbakov, General Director of the Mercury Non-standard Shoe Factory, Head of the cluster:
"As always, we are incredibly happy to see thousands of applicants who seek to study in our cluster. Last academic year, we had our first major graduation, which showed that companies are satisfied with the training of students and their qualifications. Graduates of “Professionalitet” come to enterprises with good knowledge of modeling, designing, and manufacturing shoes, which allows them to quickly adapt to modern technologies that are used in production. In addition, as part of the 85th anniversary of the SPE, I would like to note the work of our teachers who work with 15-16-year-olds. And this work is also very noticeable, because they help yesterday's teenagers to form their personality, teach them discipline and goal-setting. We see that the guys come to production with love and respect for their chosen profession, which is also very important."
Sergey Leonov, Director of the College of Technology, Modeling and Management at Ƶ:
"Today, the applicants got acquainted with the technologies and equipment of the shoe industry, tried themselves in new professions. It is also important that the students and their parents saw what the students who enrolled in the profession of "Professionalitet" learned, held their developments in their hands and learned firsthand about the learning process, classes, practices, first difficulties and victories. I am sure that live communication between schoolchildren and students will help make the choice of a future profession more conscious."
