St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design has traditionally been included in the list of the 2000 best universities in the world according to the results of the Moscow International rating "Three University Missions" in 2025.

The ninth ranking includes 2,000 universities from 112 countries. The number of Russian universities included in the top 2000 is 156 universities. The rating is comprehensive and takes into account all key areas of university activity: education, science and their role in society as a whole. Its list includes universities that occupy leading positions in global academic rankings and leading in national ones.

Being included in the "Three University Missions" rating reflects the significant results of the university's work in terms of training specialists for priority sectors of the economy, conducting advanced research and effectively implementing scientific results.
