The Ƶ accelerator will receive funding of more than 6 million rubles for the training of new startup teams

The startup accelerator of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design has received a grant from the NTI Platform in the amount of more than 6 million rubles for the implementation of the updated program. The startup launch format at Ƶ will take place in three directions: new materials, new technologies and new efficiency, with a focus on achieving the goals of technological sovereignty and creating innovative products.

Participants of the updated Startup Accelerator Ƶ, which received grant support, will now receive additional qualifications in technological entrepreneurship for a higher education diploma.

The topics and areas of projects at Ƶ will narrow down with an emphasis on manufacturability: solutions for preventive and personalized medicine, new materials with special properties, technologies for the production of low-tonnage chemical products, including high-purity substances for pharmaceuticals, energy and microelectronics, AI technologies, data processing and transmission. The range of areas will also include startups presenting solutions for climate change adaptation, monitoring and forecasting the state of the environment, including areas of the World Ocean, the seas of Russia, the Arctic and Antarctica. This will also include startups in the field of emergency prevention, as well as reducing anthropogenic pressure on nature.

It is worth noting that today acceleration programs to support project teams in universities are implemented within the framework of the federal project "Technologies" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". The design process of the Accelerator program by the Promtech Design University team took place at the Archipelago 2025 intensive course at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. Then the university entered the top 20 Acceleration Schools, the project was selected for further support and support from the Platform of the National Technology Initiative, awarded a special nomination "Creative Thinking" and presented to the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and industrial partners.

Participation in the university Accelerator gives a promising business idea new technological opportunities. Projects from various fields are undergoing MVP (minimum viable product) testing, expand their resource base, and have the opportunity to receive investment, technical, and consulting support for launch.
