Delegation of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design at SPIEF - 2025

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, one of the most significant business events for Russia and the global economy, has come to an end in the Northern Capital. The University of Industrial Technologies and Design was represented at the SPIEF by young scientists, students and teachers of the university.

The key event of the youth program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum "Day of the Future" was attended by young scientists of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design, representatives of the University Student Scientific Society. The delegation included Ivan Elokhin, PhD student and assistant of the Department of Chemical Technologies named after prof. A. A. Kharkharov, St. Petersburg State Pedagogical University, Anna Sharapova and Maria Smirnova, undergraduates of the Department, and Anton Pyreev, PhD student of the Department of Economics and Finance of St. Petersburg State Pedagogical University.

They took part in lively discussions at the stand of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, where they discussed the personnel strategy of the civil service of the future in science and higher education, as well as how to achieve success for a student startup. During the case session "Technical Representative on Neva", Alexey Demidov, Rector of Ƶ, addressed the young scientists with interesting ideas. In his speech, he stressed the importance of integrating science, education and industry in the context of the transformation of global technological entrepreneurship.

An important meeting for university students was with Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. In addition, the students attended speech sessions with representatives of various fields and sessions on youth cooperation for the future with the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, as well as on art and technology with moderator Konstantin Bogomolov.

Anna Sharapova and Maria Smirnova, students of Ƶ, visited the stands of the largest Russian and international companies. The latest developments in various industries were presented at the forum: unmanned aircraft systems, new generation dental equipment, concepts of innovative rolling stock from Russian Railways and other technological solutions reflecting the vector of development of key areas of the Russian industry.

As part of the "Day of the Future" at SPIEF, the university was also represented by the Management team for the Development of Student Initiatives at Ƶ. Leading experts, representatives of government, science, business and education gathered at the site. The focus was on educational trajectories and career guidance, the development of creative industries, media trends, semantic leadership and education, youth initiatives and the future of Russia through the eyes of a new generation. The invitation of students and young specialists of Ƶ to the event gave them the opportunity to participate in a dialogue with the main experts of the country.

Students of the Higher School of Technology and Energy of Ƶ attended practice-oriented lectures and expert sessions as part of the SPIEF Youth Day, as well as presentations of the best social projects within the framework of the international My Place Award.

Teachers of the HSE Institute of Management and Economics of Ƶ got acquainted with the exhibition stands of the companies. The university delegation managed to establish contacts and hold talks with the top management of leading Russian companies, including JSC Pulkovo Airport, Aeroflot, Bank Rossiya. Thanks to new contacts, students will have additional prospects: more places for practice, internships and employment.

Lisa Anisimova, a student of the Costume Design Institute of St. Petersburg State University of Applied Sciences, artist, presented her project "Fairy Heritage" inspired by Russian fairy tales at a gala event on behalf of Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, which was held as part of the SPIEF.

"This author's project is a modern artistic interpretation and a form of preservation of intangible cultural heritage. Through paintings, costumes and images, I strive to convey the beauty and wisdom of the Russian fairy tale tradition to new generations. Thank you for your trust and the opportunity to share this work with the guests of the forum," Lisa Anisimova shares.
