St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design opened a laboratory for studying the management of warehouse processes at production facilities

A cooperation agreement was signed between St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design and Sitek, a company specializing in the development, implementation and support of innovative solutions based on 1C products. As part of the partnership, a new laboratory for studying 1C:WMS warehouse management system was opened at the Graduate School of Technology and Energy of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.

On the very first day of the laboratory students-logisticians began to study the processes of robotization in warehouse logistics, the main trends in the medium term. In the future, future specialists will master the skills of working with WMS-systems, which will open new career opportunities for them, because the laboratory is a platform for practical study of technologies that are already used at leading enterprises. Students work here with professional software 1C:WMS under the guidance of SITEK experts, analyze real business cases to understand modern warehouse processes.

The grand opening of the new university site was attended by Pavel Lukanin, First Vice-Rector of Ƶ, Vladimir Kulemin, Executive Director of Sitek, Anna Nikolaeva and Victoria Sokolova, Deputy Directors of the Graduate School of Technology and Energy of Ƶ, Anna Nazarova, Head of the Department of Marketing and Logistics of Ƶ, faculty and staff.
