On January 31, 2025, at 16:00, the museum and exhibition center "Russia - my History" will host the opening of the exhibition "Baikal — the heritage of Russia", which will feature works made in the technique of dry pastels and oil paintings by the famous St. Petersburg painter, head of the Department of Painting and Drawing at Ƶ, professor, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Peter Gamayunov.


Visitors will see the landscapes of Russia, demonstrating its heritage — Lake Baikal. The master's paintings convey the fascinating beauty of our vast Homeland.
The artist Pyotr Gamayunov is well known to painting enthusiasts from the landscapes of Karelia, Eastern Siberia, Crimea, the North Caucasus, Lake Baikal and the Baikal region. Many people remember his solo exhibitions: "Ecological Landscape", "Creative Paths", "Russia and the enchanting Baikal", "More about Baikal", "My snow-covered Russia", "The beauty of Russian nature", "Such a different Russia", "Russia, four seasons" and others.


In the era of urbanization, the author prefers landscapes, the blue expanses of Lake Baikal, the snow-white caps of the Sayan Mountains and the soft greenery of the steppes. The author's paintings soothe and at the same time beckon, inviting the viewer to visit the places depicted on the canvases firsthand. Peter Gamayunov amazingly manages to convey the state of nature, its mood, his landscapes are filled with light, air and an all-consuming play of color.
The artist is the author of more than 150 exhibitions in Russia and abroad, a diploma holder and winner of national and international competitions in the nomination "the best work made in the technique of pastel and oil painting." His paintings are in art museums and collections of Russian and foreign collectors.
