Professional students studying at the College of Modeling and Management Technology of Ƶ in the specialty "design, modeling and technology of light industry products" took all three winning places in the All—Russian competition of the Russian Ethnographic Museum "Ethnika Haute Couture - 2024".
Victoria Konkova (1st place), Daria Zhitlukhina (2nd place), Maria Sorochinskaya (3rd place) they became the winners of the competition in the nomination "Shoes and accessories". They presented sketches of collections, the decor of which uses traditional ornaments of the peoples of Russia. The main theme of the competition was formulated by the organizers as a "Family outing" in honor of the Year 2024 declared the Year of the Family in Russia. The curator of the students' projects was Elmira Khisamutdinova, a teacher at Ƶ. The awarding ceremony took place in the Marble Hall of the State Ethnographic Museum as part of the cultural program of the international forum "Commonwealth of Fashion".
The contest participants created sketches of collections of costumes, shoes and accessories, the decor of which will use traditional ornaments of the peoples of Russia. A partnership has been established between the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ and the Russian Ethnographic Museum in terms of practical training of students. The university initiated the creation of a separate nomination "Shoes and accessories" to popularize the field of training, which is implemented by the university within the framework of the Professional Training Program — the design and modeling of leather products.
204 projects participated in the competition. The jury included the founder of the brand of current Russian clothing VARVARA ZENINA, designer Varvara Zenina; the founder of the brand Stas Lopatkin, St. Petersburg fashion designer Stas Lopatkin; director of the fashion house Lily Kiselenko Irina Selyuta; head of the educational project Professionalism at Ƶ Maria Korabelnikova; researcher at the Russian Ethnographic Museum Olga Starostina; head of the Department of Ethnography of the Volga region and the Urals Russian Ethnographic Museum Elena Kolchina.
