On October 25, 2024 our University was visited by the delegation of higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education of Azerbaijan. From our side the delegation was welcomed by the head of the direction of international integration and educational programs A.Y.Pastukhov, deputy first vice-rector, vice-rector for academic work M.N.Ivanov, as well as heads of departments and divisions involved in the organization of international and educational programs.

During the friendly round table discussion, the most important directions of international cooperation in the sphere of higher education were discussed, namely the maintenance of friendly and cultural ties between universities of the former Soviet republics, friendly to the Russian Federation, the development of various forms of academic mobility, including exchange programs for students and teachers, contributing to the establishment of mutual understanding and trust between partner universities.

The participants of the meeting identified as a priority at the initial stage of cooperation the academic mobility program 鈥淪easonal School鈥� as a form of short-term internship lasting 2-3 weeks, including not only educational but also cultural component.

In addition, they discussed the prospects of joint educational programs and scientific research, including the study of effective methods for assessing the competitiveness of universities, as well as individual educational programs, the possibility of mutual participation of representatives of universities in expert and rating commissions.

Head of the Career Planning Department Anna Nosayeva told the representatives of the Azerbaijani delegation about the activities of the Practical Training and Career Center of our university, programs for building communication between employers and students and the conditions of internships for foreign students.

As a result of the meeting, the participants came to a consensus that both sides are set up for constructive interaction, are interested in the planned plans of cooperation and will comprehensively contribute to their realization.

The international inter-university meeting defined the first necessary steps to the future partnership.
