"University shifts": getting to know the profession of a fashion designer-technologist in a cluster of light industry

Today, the participants of the University Shifts project got acquainted with the profession of a fashion designer-technologist of shoe and leather goods production. Teachers and students of the Ƶ light industry cluster, created by the university within the framework of the FP, helped them in this. #Professionalitet.

Here they mastered hand stitching using a French punch, the "double-sided herringbone" technique, hand sewing tools, studied the work of domestic 3D printers that print pads, insoles made of special polymers, as well as prototypes of future products.

Special attention was paid to the laboratory of scientific biomechanics of movement, where, using optical cameras, a special platform and an electromyography complex, our scientists investigate the human walking pattern. It is here, together with specialists from medical clinics, that our specialists help patients with cerebral palsy and osteogenesis imperfecta.
