Young logisticians won the 3rd place in a stubborn struggle with rivals.
— We brought the format of the case championship from Moscow, but in St. Petersburg it was our university that was the first to hold such an event, betting on the specifics of the labor market of the Northwest. Confirmation that this is the most successful format of interaction between graduates of specialized departments and logistics business was the scaling of the project this season, says Anna Nazarova, Head of the Department of Marketing and Logistics of Ƶ.
— This season of LOGISTICUM is distinguished by the expanded composition of the business community of the logistics industry — 23 organizations, the use of innovative technologies in submitting cases solved by teams, as well as obtaining special conditions for admission to the new master's degree program "Logistics and Supply Chain Management", which is being opened by the Department of Marketing and Logistics of St. Petersburg State University since 2024.
The task assigned to the students by the experts of Sberbank Logistics LLC concerned the delivery of a "non-standard" parcel from the MEGAMARKET marketplace. The students were asked to describe all the stages of delivery, determine the type of vehicles, additional services required for parcel delivery, and calculate the cost of transportation. The case of Unipooling, the federal operator of pallet pooling, proposed the development of a solution to the problem of recycled packaging in the supply chain manufacturer—distributor—retailer using modern approaches in building an effective supply chain.
In the foreseeable future, Ƶ plans to organize intermediate qualifying rounds in the online format, which will allow teams from other cities of the Northwestern region to exchange experiences with colleagues, expand their professional horizons, gain knowledge about the latest trends and innovations in logistics, and, most importantly, compete for a career start.
So, four hours of interactive play took place in the form of an intense marathon of solutions. Future logisticians gained practical experience and attracted the attention of representatives of the business community.
