The V International Scientific and Practical Symposium "Technical Textiles of Russia: Scientific and Production Achievements and Opportunities" took place in the capital's "Expocentre". The organizer was the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry, the industrial partner of the event was the Moscow plant of nonwoven materials "Thermopol". Following the results of the symposium a resolution was adopted, where the proposal to recommend for implementation at the enterprises of the industry the developments of the scientists of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design was fixed.
The resolution is addressed to the state authorities, educational and scientific institutions, business structures and industry public associations. The proposals on complex innovative development of the industry set forth in it are aimed at actualization of the branch science, reforming the training of specialists for textile and light industry, as well as interaction of scientific and educational and business communities.
A number of the most promising scientific developments within the framework of the resolution were recommended to domestic manufacturers for implementation. It included only five developments, four of which belong to the Department of Chemical Technologies named after Prof. A.A. Kharkharov of Ƶ. Namely: a method of finishing fabrics made of metaaramid fibers, allowing to make the material simultaneously fire-resistant, resistant to water, oils and bacteria, as well as having different colors depending on the purpose of use; a method of modifying polymeric materials with bimetallic nanoparticles copper-silver to give antimicrobial properties; technology for obtaining textile materials of different fiber composition and a variety of structural colors, which have the property of self-cleaning the surface from contaminants under the influence of solar radiation.
A separate item of the resolution was a recommendation for application in housing and communal services, medicine, military-industrial complex development of the first Russian composition of thermochromic leukocolorizer, in which the color developer is non-toxic compounds, developed by the Department of Chemical Technologies named after Prof. A.A. Kharkharov, Ƶ.
The resolution was sent to the industry enterprises, some of which have already contacted the University of Industrial Technologies and Design on the issue of implementation.
