Nadezhda Reznik and Anna Yamteeva, students of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, and Daria Antipina, Head of the Department of Monumental Art at St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design, were awarded the Honorary Badge of St. Tatiana for their special contribution to the spiritual and moral education of young people and active participation in social activities in St. Petersburg. The event is timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Students and the Day of Memory of the Holy Martyr Tatiana and took place in the Smolny Cathedral, where representatives of the government of St. Petersburg, the rector's corps and the clergy were also present.
Daria Antipina, Head of the Department of Monumental Art of St. Tatiana, was presented with the Honorary Badge of St. Tatiana. Daria Antipina is a 2003 State Scholarship recipient in the field of fine arts, winner of many artistic and creative competitions. The artist's works are in private collections in Russia, Finland, the USA and Japan, as well as in the collections of museums in Russia. The teacher organizes international and All-Russian exhibitions and competitions: "Consonance", "Creative Spring", "Creative Spring. To the Heroes of Russia", "Walking across three Seas: 550 years of Afanasy Nikitin's journey to India", conferences "Actual problems of monumental art", "India-Russia. Unity in Diversity", a round table "Monumentalists of Russia" and field practice for students at the Restoration School of the Novgorod State United Museum-Reserve.
The second recipient of the Badge of Honor was Anna Yamteeva, a graduate student at the Institute of Graphic Design of Ƶ. She holds the title of student of the year of her Institute, as well as the best activist of the Student Trade Union Committee of the university, where she runs the design club. Anna is the winner of the competition to design a logo for the 30th anniversary of the Legislative Assembly, the federal competition "Design of the Young", for four years in a row she won the competition "Postcard to Mom" from the Pokrov association. The student represents the university in the regional branch of the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory", works in the charity organization "Donor Fund". Anna has organized more than 30 events dedicated to patriotic education of young people and assistance to veterans of St. Petersburg.
Another recipient of the Honorary Badge of St. Tatiana is Nadezhda Reznik, a student of the Institute of Textiles and Fashion of Ƶ. Russian Russian Academy of Sciences Nadezhda represents the university in the Pokrov Association, where she organizes the project "Russian Evenings" aimed at preserving Russian culture, meetings with veterans, creative workshops, environmental events and balls. At the University of Industrial Technology and Design, the student participates in the "Sign a Postcard to Mom" campaign, the "Univers party" event dedicated to Cosmonautics Day, as well as a number of environmental marathons, master classes and actions, in particular on collecting waste paper and planting trees. Russians addition, Nadezhda is engaged in science — the girl has a number of published articles on the history of fashion, including about Russian folk costume, about the development of creative activity of youth, modern methodological approaches in education. The student also represents Ƶ as part of the university's national team at arm wrestling competitions.
The solemn ceremony of awarding the Honorary Badge of St. Tatiana was held in the Smolny Cathedral of the Resurrection, where the leaders of St. Petersburg and the city's universities, representatives of the clergy, students and cadets gathered. The event began with the Divine Liturgy. At the end of the service, the awarding of the laureates of the Badge of Honor began.
At the ceremony, Alexey Demidov, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Universities of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Rector of Ƶ, congratulated the guests on the occasion of Russian Students' Day: "This is a bright and warm holiday that is of great importance to each of us — for students, teachers and rectors.
