The Institute of Postgraduate Education of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design trained participants of the Leningrad Region's student squads. The students mastered the professions of "Counselor" and "Green Housekeeping Worker".

At present there is a growing interest in the profession of a counselor. During 3 months 120 students from Gatchina, Volkhov, Vyborg and Kirishi districts attended classes taught by experienced teachers with practical experience in the field of psychology and pedagogy. At the end of the training, the students acquired theoretical knowledge and reinforced it with practical skills in organizing cultural, mass, sports and recreational activities.

86 students from the city of Pushkin were trained in the profession of "Green Housekeeping Worker", thanks to which they acquired skills to improve various public gardens, park areas and lawns, as well as to perform work on the maintenance of green areas.

Students of secondary vocational education and higher education had an opportunity to change their career trajectory and get a new working specialty.

They have already had work experience or plan to work in their specialties, both for the benefit of the region and beyond. In addition to free training with a certificate of the established sample, members of student squads have the opportunity to work during the summer and winter vacations, to gain managerial experience, to expand their social circle, as well as to visit different regions of Russia.

Student squads of the Leningrad region is a public organization engaged in training students in in-demand specialties and their subsequent employment for the summer period. On the territory of the region there are 5 student teaching detachments in four districts of the region, and the school of vozhadatskiy mastery since 2017 has already passed more than 400 members of the organization, who received a new profession and worked in camps not only in the Leningrad region, but also at children's recreational facilities of the All-Russian level.

Student squads on the basis of the RF Government Decree No. 876 of June 09, 2021 are the operator of financial support for the implementation of measures to provide grants for training in the main programs of vocational training on a free of charge basis for the participants of student squads in the professions of workers, positions of servants necessary for the implementation of labor activities in the squads.
