Yesterday on December 25, 2023 in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the Government Prize 2023 in the field of science and technology. The prize winners were a team of scientists from St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. The award was presented by Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The scientists of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design as a part of the author's team have developed new digital methods of evaluation and forecasting of properties of materials and products of light industry, aimed at improving their quality, expanding the field of application of existing and development of new competitive materials. Special attention was paid to the description of properties of fiber-forming polymers for the production of surgical threads, materials for parachutes, flame-retardant protective clothing, high-strength and bulletproof protective products, heat-resistant and heat-insulating covering materials. Similar studies have not been conducted anywhere in the world yet.
