11 October

Today the Center for Practical Training and Career at St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design applies a multilevel model of management of educational and career trajectory of students and graduates of the university in terms of their implementation in the labor market. The Center cooperates with the leading employers of St. Petersburg, providing a large base of jobs for young specialists, constantly adding to the pool of successful industry enterprises, which in the system of long-term partnership see the prospect of cooperation with the St. Petersburg university. The Center's foreign policy today is aimed at confirming the best practices at the federal level.

Thus, the beginning of this fall was marked by three important events for the .

The Center became the winner of the "First Workplace" contest from the Sistema Charitable Foundation and the MTS digital ecosystem. The contestants had to design their career guidance practice as a course project, which will contribute to the development and objective assessment of soft and hard skills necessary for successful professional development, as well as provide students with information about internships and other career opportunities in the perimeter of companies - Russian industry leaders. The competition was held as part of the flagship educational project Lift to the Future.

The Center for Practical Training and Career Center of Ƶ proposed a project called "Career Building" in the format of career guidance tours to companies in the region. Tour participants - about 130 second- and third-year students of the Institute of Applied Arts of Ƶ. The partners of the practice were Petrodvorets watch factory "Raketa", companies "Nefrit Ceramics" and "New Diamond Technology". The specialists of the Center divided the program into three modules: lectures and practical classes, testing on employment technologies on the Lift to the Future platform and a career guidance tour to specialized enterprises.

"The system we are implementing allows us to introduce the student to the industry and the labor market in the junior courses, and in the senior courses - to involve them in the production processes of the enterprises of the relevant industry. This logic is aimed at effective employment, reducing the adaptation period in the workplace, strengthening the practice-oriented nature of the learning process," says Natalia Klimova, Vice-Rector for the development of educational programs at Ƶ.

But not only the projects have gone beyond the region. For example, the Mentor Lounge of the All-Russian Week of Occupational Safety and Health, which took place in the Sirius Science and Art Park in Sochi, was enriched with a new expert - Anna Nosaeva, who heads the Career Planning Department of the Center at Ƶ. And the structure itself became a member of the Board of Directors of Career Centers under the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

As an expert of the Board of Directors in September, Anna Nosaeva conducted master classes on career building and analyzed individual cases for the participants of the Mentor's Lounge at Sirius: she gave recommendations on job search and networking, talked about the principles of communication within the team and how to properly allocate time and set up effective time management - everything that is now implemented and successfully works at PROMTEKHDISIGN University.

"With leading experts from all over Russia, we held more than 20 events: round tables, master classes, project labs, business games, quizzes, interactive games and trainings. More than 1200 students, young specialists, experts, heads of Russian companies, specialized ministries and agencies attended the Youth Day of the VIII All-Russian Week of Occupational Safety and Health. Today, the Center for Practical Training and Career Center of Ƶ at the federal level is ready to present the best practices in career guidance, employment and retraining in the field of occupational safety, ready to consolidate the efforts of the state, industry companies, educational institutions in building a career", - commented Anna Nosaeva.
