Anastasia Aleshechkina, a graduate of the Graduate School of Press and Media Technologies at Ƶ, has developed a concept for a series of television programs about restoration and restorers of St. Petersburg called Cultural Heritage. The pilot episode of the program, which Anastasia started working on as a master's student at Ƶ as part of her thesis, has already been released. It is available on the website of the city Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments. The project received the 2023 St. Petersburg Government Award.

"St. Petersburg is the cultural capital of Russia and one of the recognized treasuries of world heritage. Relative to other cities, St. Petersburg is young, but has experienced many natural disasters and destructive actions by people and machinery. The automobile traffic and the flow of tourists cannot but affect the ecology, and thus the condition of the city's facades. In every district of St. Petersburg there are objects of unique historical and spiritual value. They need to be periodically restored and maintained. It is for concerned Petersburgers and guests of the city that the project "Cultural Heritage" was created, - shared the author of the program, graduate of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design Anastasia Aleshechkina.

The pilot episode of the program is dedicated to the Pashkov House on Liteiny Prospekt, where restoration works are currently underway. This is the earliest of the mansions among those designed by architect Harald Bosse, which has survived to our time unchanged - both externally and in the interiors.

"Restorers are like doctors. They too use medical instruments - scalpels, syringes, cotton swabs, compresses. And their main principle is the same - do no harm. A monument is a fragile organism with centuries-old historical layers. It is thanks to restorers that works of art and ancient buildings are preserved almost in pristine condition," Anastasia added.
