Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design(SUITD), Institute of Design and Arts and Department of Monumental Art invites artists, teachers of higher educational institutions, postgraduates and students to take part in The international exhibition-competition 鈥淐reative Spring鈥�. This year's exhibition is subtitled "Heroes of Russia'' and is dedicated to all defenders of our Fatherland. A plot-themed picture on military themes, a portrait of a military man, a military still life, as well as an image of Russia in the genre of landscape are welcome.
The exhibition-competition is scheduled to be held from 15 to 27 March 2023.
Purposes of the exhibition-competition:
- supporting initiatives in the field of visual arts by professional and young artists;
- identification and support of emerging talented artists;
- creative interaction of artists from different regions of Russia and other countries.
Organization of the exhibition-competition:
Organizing and exhibition committees are formed for the exhibition-competition, and also the composition of the Jury is approved, whose members are famous artists, members of creative unions, representatives of creative organizations and educational institutions.
The following categories of participants can present their works in the exhibition-competition:
- professional artists with higher education in the field of visual art;
- students receiving higher education in the field of visual art.
Participation in the contest is possible out only in offline format.
Nominations (in each category of participants):
- Painting:
- monumental-decorative;
- easel;
- decorative.
- Graphics:
- easel;
- decorative.
The works of the distant participants will be broadcast to the audience on a video monitor during the exhibition period.
The order of the stages of the exhibition-competition:
1st stage 鈥� submission of the application byFebruary 20, 2023 to the e-mail address monumental-painting@mail.ru marked "Exhibition-competition "Creative spring. Heroes of Russia" in the original format of the MicrosoftWord program (Attachment 1, Attachment 2).
Attached to the application are:
- a photo of the work (without foreign objects and frames) in JPEG / JPG format, with a resolution of 300 dpi, with a size of no more than 3000x3000 pixels. The file name is the full name of the author and the title of the work. Works performed in graphic editors are not considered by the Exhibition Committee,
- photo of the author,
- brief about creative biography,
- label for full-time participants (Attachment 3).
2nd stage 鈥� The Organizing and Exhibition Committees select works for participation in the Exhibition-competition and notify the authors of their decision by March 01, 2023. The authors list the registration fee to the requisites specified in the information letter, then send a scan or photo of the receipt to the email address monumental-painting@mail.ru or they bring the registration fee on the day of delivery of the work.
3rd stage 鈥� On March 15, 2023, by 12:00, full-time participants deliver the works to SUITD (St. Petersburg, Admiralteiskaya metro station, Bolshaya Morskaya str., 18, 1st floor, recreation), which are independently framed with the name of the author and the title of the work indicated on the reverse side. Graphic works are made under plastic glass, otherwise the Organizing Committee is not responsible for the safety of the glasses.
4th stage 鈥� installation of the exposition by members of the Exhibition Committee. The Exhibition Committee has the right to reject some works that have passed the preliminary selection without reviewing and explaining the reasons. At the same time, the author receives a printed copy of the diploma of participation.
5th stage 鈥� March 17th 鈥� opening of the exhibition-competition.
6th stage 鈥� summing up the results of the exhibition-competition, the work of the jury members.
7th stage 鈥� March 27 鈥� dismantling of the exhibition.
The Organizing Committee is not responsible for works left at the end of the exhibition at the university for a period of more than 14 days. Nonresident and foreign authors of works wishing to take part in the exhibition-competition in person, carry out travel, accommodation and nutrition at their own expense. Participation in the exhibition and competition is paid.
The results of the exhibition-competition:
Laureates (winners) and prize-winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd places) in various categories of the exhibition-competition will be awarded with diplomas. Other participants of the exhibition-competition will be awarded with diplomas of participants. Diplomas will be awarded to full-time participants in person. Correspondence participants will receive a diploma in electronic form. Cash prizes are not provided to the laureates and prize-winners of the exhibition-competition.
The founders and organizers of the exhibition-competition have the right to include additional nominations. According to the results of the exhibition-competition, an electronic catalog will be published, which is sent to all full-time and part-time participants.
The registration fee is paid only from an individual (not a legal entity).
