Students of the PROMTECHDESIGN University danced at the Governor's Ball
About 700 of the most talented and gifted students from 130 higher and secondary professional organizations of St. Petersburg took part in the Governor's New Year Student Ball. The legendary White Hall of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University opened its doors to ladies and gentlemen in luxurious outfits. Twenty-six students of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design were dancing to orchestral music.
Under the guidance of an experienced choreographer, the participants of the ball got acquainted with the specifics of the dance culture of Russian balls of the XVIII-XIX centuries. During the master classes, bundles and transitions were learned. The students tried themselves in polonaise, waltz, polka, stream and quadrille. The Brass Band of the Peter the Great University Marine Corps, conducted by Major Sergei Volsky, was responsible for the musical accompaniment of the event.
