Students of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design created multimedia projects on the topic of human's stay on Earth to demonstrate them in the form of a projection on the dome. The result of their work became a full dome audiovisual show, which was presented last Sunday on the spherical screen of the world's largest planetarium – Planetarium No. 1 in St. Petersburg as a part of the METAXIS Festival.

Also, their projects presented NAOWAO & Branks Studio (Japan & France), Weidi Zhang, Shaoyu Su & Weilu Ge (America & Japan), Elina Zozulya with a team of scientists from Columbia, Tonoptik, Aizek and other media artists.
The work on the dome graphic took place as part of the intensive that was organized by the laboratory of virtual fashion and digital design Ƶ and the laboratory of new media art OPUS 111.
«The idea of my project is that a person is a part of a large planetary system like a little puzzle, which complements the overall picture of the world. I use the time dilation effect to demonstrate the moment of involvement with the outside world more brightly», - Adele Nizaeva, a student of the Institute of graphic design of Ƶ, comments.
To visualize their ideas, the team of students worked in virtual reality by using VR helmets, using 3D computer graphic programs for modeling, sculpting, animation, simulation, rendering, post-processing and editing of video with sound.
«My project demonstrates the mythological picture of the human world through the prism of modernity, visualizes how the forms of myth could look like today and in the future», - Alina Benzak shared.



«Large-scale audiovisual work, that was shown on a spectacular canvas like a huge spherical screen in a planetarium, that transforms space, will be an impressive achievement for young digital artists and a bright marker in their portfolio», - Ksenia Diogenova, a media artist and a teacher of intensive, comments.
The METAXAS New Media Art Festival will be held in three cities this year. Nizhny Novgorod and Yerevan are also ahead.
