The program is implemented in Institute of Spatial and Environmental Design at the Department of Equipment Design in Environmental Facilities in the framework of the University's development strategy for industry leadership of the federal program "Priority 2030".
The program is a joint project of Ƶ, FORMA Industrial Design Studio and the Saint-Petersburg Union of Designers. For the first time in Saint-Petersburg, industrial design training is conducted by practicing specialists.
The designer is a specialist capable of developing modern, beautiful, comfortable and functional items: from mobile gadget cases to the interior of a high-speed tram. You will develop and design cutlery, furniture, lamps, wearable electronics, security and safety systems, packaging, household appliances, laboratory and production equipment and even transport.
You will learn how to:
- Design industrial products;
- Master 3D modeling and visualization programs (SolidWorks, Rhinoceros);
- Study presentation design programs (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator);
- Visualize in the real time rendering program (Luxion Keyshot);
- Learn the basics of production skills, secrets of the profession: legal aspects, promotion, doing business, available production technologies and materials, teamwork, portfolio compilation and much more.
By graduation, the student will have at least 8 full-fledged works in the portfolio. The best works will be published on the website of the Saint-Petersburg Union of Designers and the websites of international industrial design competitions.
