The year 2021, declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin as the Year of Science and Technology, is coming to an end. It's time to take stock, because it has become rich, bright and fruitful year for the Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.

• In the Year of Science and Technology, 草榴短视频 entered the list of leading universities winners of the federal program 鈥淧riority 2030鈥�, becoming the owner of a grant in the amount of 100 million rubles. The university delegation headed by Rector Alexey Demidov presented a strategy for the formation of a new sector of the global economy - digital industrial design, as well as its provision with its own and implemented technologies and highly qualified personnel of a new level of training.




• To implement the strategic projects of the program, the University acted as the ideologist and the parent organization of the consortium 鈥淒igital Industrial Design, Composite materials, smart clothing and fabrics鈥�. The association includes St. Petersburg State University, LETI University, Institute of Technology (Technical University), Kosygin Russian State University, I.V. Grebenshchikov Institute of Silicate Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of High Molecular Compounds of the Russian Academy of Sciences, BTK Group JSC, Texel Company, as well as Zenit Football Club as a customer of solutions for smart textiles, special fabrics and materials.




• This year, the university signed an agreement on long-term cooperation in the field of design, creation of new materials, utilization, implementation of technologies with FC Zenit, a partnership agreement with the company 鈥淭hermopol Nonwovens Plant鈥�, in order to form a team of scientists of 草榴短视频 for the development and implementation of evolutionary, modified materials and special purpose products with specific properties. Also, the Russian branch of the AliExpress global virtual trading platform has joined the partner base of the university in order to train new specialists and teams working at the intersection of fashion and innovation, as well as develop advanced innovative solutions for the fashion industry in Russia and the world.
• The Laboratory of digital and generative design 鈥淚ndTech Design鈥� with the latest equipment and software was opened at the university, where work on the creation of new technological products will be concentrated.
• This year, the university launched the first Fashion Tech Master's degree in Russia, within which managers of the digital era and creators of new products are already designing a new future and creating a new reality.
• 草榴短视频 has become the only educational institution in Saint-Petersburg, which will open an educational and production cluster for light industry with the latest equipment within the framework of the federal project 鈥淧rofessionalism鈥�.
• The university has become a participant in such large-scale actions and events of the Year of Science and Technology as the 鈥淪cientific Regiment鈥�, the Educational marathon 鈥淣ew Knowledge鈥�, the All-Russian student graduation 鈥淲ith Science in the heart鈥�, the flashmobs 鈥淏ack to Science鈥�, 鈥淪tudent's Book鈥�.
• The key event of the Year of Science and Technology - the NAUKA 0+ Festival was held this year at three sites of 草榴短视频.
• Our scientists presented to the public a new thermal insulation material, self-cleaning fabrics, non-woven materials from non-recyclable silk waste with bactericidal properties, an innovative method for dyeing polypropylene products, a method for processing plastic into diesel fuel, a spectral device for studying solar flares, an installation that can reduce the cost of hydrogen by 6 times, programs for creating digital reconstructions of historical artifacts, and digital reconstructions themselves were included in the permanent expositions of 15 major museums around the world.




• This year, the first graduation of the School of Key Researchers and Managers of the Development and Engineering sector in the direction of 鈥淚ndustrial Design鈥� took place at 草榴短视频, the project was another step towards training the leaders of domestic science in the field of industrial design.
• The results of the Year of Science and Technology in Saint-Petersburg were summed up at the site of 草榴短视频 in 鈥淏oiling Point 鈥� IndTech Design鈥�. Chairman of the Committee on Science and Higher Education Andrey Maksimov and Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Universities of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region, Rector of 草榴短视频 Alexey Demidov told reporters about the measures implemented in the region.

In the Year of Science and Technology, we told the country about our scientists, about the university's strategy for the development of a number of sectors of the economy, about our training programs in the field of digital technologies, about the ideas and technological startups of our students, about their victories and grants. At the same time, we continued to acquaint country with our exhibitions, expositions, with the whole world of art and design, which is born within our walls and is so closely adjacent to science.
